The Evidence

The quality of Homeopathic research is of such rigour that The Lancet released a statement in the 1980’s saying that either the Randomised Controlled Trial does not work (by which medications are trialled) or Homeopathy does work! This was based on this Scottish scientific study: Reilly, D., Mcsharry, C., Taylor, M. and Aitchison, T., 1986. Is homoeopathy a placebo response? Controlled trial of homoeopathic potency, with pollen in hayfever as model. The Lancet, 328(8512), pp.881-886.
The quality and rigour of research continues with the Homeopathic Research Institute. This is a UK-based charity dedicated to promoting high quality research in homeopathy at an international level. The charity was founded by physicist, Dr Alexander Tournier, who previously worked as an independent researcher for Cancer Research UK, conducting interdisciplinary research at the boundaries between mathematics, physics and biology. Systematic reviews of homeopathy clinical trials
The most robust data on efficacy of homeopathy comes from a 2014 meta-analysis of placebo-controlled double-blind randomised controlled trials which found that homeopathic medicines, when prescribed during individualised treatment, are 1.5- to 2.0-times more likely to have a beneficial effect than placebo
Given the vast numbers of people that use Homeopathy worldwide there is great quality research out there. This is a large, and importantly, an outcome study, you may find interesting. The use in veterinary care, including with the Royals corgis, demonstrates the positive research results are not placebo. For those interested please read the following papers:
